Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the "fabulous pictures" from British rock band Coldplay's concerts in Mumbai and Ahmedabad on Tuesday, claiming that India has enormous potential for live concerts. He predicted that state governments and the business sector would focus on infrastructure and expertise to help the 'concert economy' sector grow.

"You must have seen fabulous pictures of Coldplay concerts organized in Mumbai and Ahmedabad. It shows that India has a massive scope for live concerts. Big artists from around the world are attracted towards India," PM Modi said at the 'Utkarsh Odisha—Make in Odisha Conclave 2025' in Bhubaneswar.

He also stated that the concert economy sector in the country was expanding and that live shows had become more popular in India over the last few decades.

At the Odisha business summit, PM Modi doubled down on his vision, congratulating the state for attracting record-breaking investment interest. “Eastern India is the growth engine of the country, and Odisha is a vital part of it. Historically, the eastern region played a major role in trade and global growth, and we aim to reclaim that glory,” he remarked.
